The Laudato Si’ Action Platform: What’s Changed and Why

Why now?

The Laudato Si’ Action Platform is evolving to better serve our growing global community. Since our initial launch, thousands of participants have joined the journey toward integral ecology, and we’ve learned a lot from their experiences. This update reflects those insights, strengthens the tools and resources available, and prepares us for a new phase of deeper engagement, including the introduction of our annual certificate program. By updating the site now, we’re ensuring that the platform remains accessible, impactful, and aligned with the urgent call to care for our common home.

How does this update align with the overall effort of the Laudato Si’ Action Platform?

The update strengthens our effort to inspire and support a global community of ecological conversion. It provides clearer guidance, new tools, and improved accessibility to help individuals and institutions reflect, act, and journey together toward integral ecology. By making the platform easier to use and more responsive to participants’ needs, we are better equipped to accompany the Church and all people of goodwill in responding to the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor.

When was the updated website launched?

The new Laudato Si’ Action Platform website was officially launched on May 16, 2025. This marks the beginning of a new phase in our shared journey toward integral ecology, with improved features, tools, and accessibility for our global community.

Will I need to create a new account or log in again?

No, you do not need to create a new account. Your existing account and login information will continue to work on the updated website.

Is the site still available in my language?

The updated website remains available in English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and French. While Polish, Tagalog, German, and Swahili are no longer supported as full language options, users from those language groups have been migrated to the English version of the site. We’re continuing to explore ways to expand language access in the future as part of our commitment to a global, inclusive platform.

Will the platform still be compatible with mobile devices or specific browsers?

Yes. The updated platform works on most modern browsers and is fully compatible with mobile devices. However, for the best experience—especially when creating or editing your Laudato Si’ Plan—we recommend using the desktop version of the site.

How will these updates affect our existing Laudato Si’ Plans?

Your existing Laudato Si’ Plan and related data have been preserved and migrated to the new system. You will still be able to view your submitted plans and reflections within your dashboard.

Can I still access the old resources and documents I used before?

Yes. Most previously available resources and documents are still accessible through the updated site. We’ve reorganized them for easier navigation, so you may find them in slightly different locations. If you can’t find something specific, our support team is here to help.

Is participation in the certificate program mandatory to stay engaged with the platform?

No. The Annual Certificate program is optional. You are welcome to continue using the Laudato Si’ Action Platform, create a plan, and take action without applying for a certificate. The certificate is designed to recognize and celebrate your progress, but your journey with the platform is valuable at every stage—whether or not you pursue certification.
