Laudato Si’ Action Platform Partners
The Laudato Si’ Action Platform is the fruit of a unique collaboration between the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, nearly 200 Catholic organizations, and individuals from around the world.
This spirit of partnership enriches the Laudato Si’ Action Platform as a whole, ensuring that it is rooted in lived experiences and local wisdom. After all, “new processes taking shape cannot always fit into frameworks imported from outside; they need to be based in the local culture itself.” (LS 144) The Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development seeks to gratefully learn from local leaders and to humbly provide a common framework that supports the development of all.
Among the many groups and organizations that the Holy Spirit has united in this work, the leadership of communities on “the peripheries” has been a special gift. In the midst of challenges, those on the peripheries show “an admirable creativity and generosity” and weave “bonds of belonging and togetherness” that have has been instrumental to the development of this program.
