Let Justice and Peace Flow prayer service

Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help

05/09/2023 In Person

Let’s all join together in prayer to “Let Justice & Peace Flow” during a short evening service in Kirkwood Park. Celebrate the Season of Creation with us in praise and thanksgiving for God’s Creation from 6:30 to 7:30pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

We will gather at the Walker Lake parking lot and proceed to the lake together.

Register at www.fsolph.org/events/ (We do ask that you please sign up with all contact information, so that we can text you easily in case of inclement weather. This also allows us to send you an email reminder one day and one hour before the event.)

The Season of Creation is a time to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation through celebration, conversion, and commitment together. During the Season of Creation, we join our sisters and brothers in the ecumenical family in prayer and action for our common home. As the people of God, we must work together on behalf of all Creation, as part of that mighty river of peace and justice.

The theme for 2023 is from Amos 5:24. “Prophet Amos cries out: ‘But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!’ (Amos 5: 24) and so we are called to join the river of justice and peace, to take up climate and ecological justice, and to speak out with and for communities most impacted by climate injustice and the loss of biodiversity.”
