Speaker Biographies:

Sr. Adina Bălan, CJ – Based in Rome, Sr. Adina serves as the JPIC coordinator for the Congregatio Jesu and Talitha Kum coordinator for Europe. A founder of SOLWODI Romania, she brings expertise in law, communications, and a strong commitment to integral ecology.

Sr. Sheila Marie Fitzpatrick, OSB – A Benedictine Sister in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Sr. Sheila is a master in environmental stewardship, with roles including the Creation Care Commission member, Master Naturalist, and Aldo Leopold Educator. She has been instrumental in developing the Peace & Nature Garden and various environmental initiatives in Indianapolis.

John Mundell John is the director of the Laudato Si´ Action Platform, showcasing a significant background in environmental advocacy and sustainable solutions from his home in Indianapolis.

Alonso de Llanes – The Laudato Si´ Action Platform Manager, based in Paris, Alonso’s work spans sustainability, energy, and spirituality, underpinned by his ongoing Ph.D. studies in management. He is dedicated to driving meaningful change within the Catholic Church’s approach to sustainability.

Sarah Mundell – Acting as the webinar’s moderator, Sarah brings her dedication to the Laudato Si´ Action Platform, and will facilitate a smooth and engaging dialogue.

Sr. Cláudia Chesini – Opening the webinar with prayer, Sr. Cláudia from Brasilia, offers her background in education, sustainability, and integral ecology, reinforcing the session’s spiritual foundation. She collaborates as the Religious Outreach Coordinator in Brazil  in the Laudato Si´ Movement Special Projects Team providing support with the Laudato Si´ Action Platform to the religious sector in Brazil.
