Decarbonise your diocese webinar, for diocesan managers, February 7 2024

Guardians of Creation and Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales

07/02/2024 Remote

We would like to invite you to our ‘Guardians of Creation Project (GoCP)’ webinar.
GoCP started in 2020 to support Catholic dioceses in England and Wales reduce their carbon footprints and support ecological conversion.  The project sponsor is Bishop John Arnold, lead Bishop for the Environment, and is run by the Catholic Diocese of Salford in collaboration with St Mary’s University, Twickenham. GoCP is supported by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales Department for Social Justice.  You can find all of the guidance we have produced and implemented so far here.
Whilst the GoCP has been focused on England and Wales, the findings and methods are adaptable internationally. We would like to invite you to this webinar to tell our story, to discuss decarbonisation and behavioural change strategies, and to learn from you the challenges you face in turning the messages of Laudato Si’ into practical action.
This webinar is primarily for individuals who have managerial responsibilities in dioceses, religious orders, charities or other religious and faith-based organisations.
We will run the same webinar three times on 7 February for three time zones. Please only come to one as they will all be the same.
UTC 0800 (intended for those living in the Asia-Pacific region).
UTC 1200 (intended for those living in Europe, the Middle East and Africa).
UTC 1900 (intended for those living in the Americas).
We do hope you can join us. Please register using the sign up form below which has further information. Responding early will help us plan the webinar to be most useful to you. The signup will close on February 5th at UTC 23:59.
