CIDSE Online Systemic Change Dialogues towards COP30: Reclaiming futures beyond extractive addiction and false solutions

CIDSE

09/07/2025 Remote

We invite you to join for two upcoming online Dialogues on Systemic Change – an initiative to bring together global voices to deepen reflection, build authentic connection and radically reimagine our current world, as we journey together on the road to COP302025 marks a Jubilee year. With the theme “Pilgrims of Hope” we are called to walk together, reflecting on our journey of faith and renewing our commitment to spreading hope and love in a world longing for healing and repair.

We will gather in dialogue to exchange stories of a post-extractivist world, imagining alternatives rooted in justice, care, and solidarity. These dialogues are a space to collectively question and challenge unequal power dynamics and dominant narratives, by honoring lived and embodied realities from communities across the Global North and South, and uplifting voices and visions that carry resistance and hope. We will come together to nurture community and deepen both new and longstanding relationships rooted in trust, care and solidarity. The dialogues are spaces to continue cultivating alliances and fostering collaborations and co-shaping pathways for shared reflection and action.

Dialogue Schedule

·         Dialogue 1: Reclaiming futures beyond extractive addiction and false solutions – 9 July 2025 from 3:00-5:00 PM (CEST). Register here.

·         Dialogue 2: Ecological and climate debt: rooted in responsibility – 17 September 2025 from 12:00-2:00 PM (CEST). Register here.

Both dialogues will start with an inspirational opening, followed by the stories of two participants who will share their lived experiences and wisdom in plenary. Their stories will open into dialogues in smaller conversation groups to allow for deeper connection and witnessing. Before closing, we’ll return as a collective to weave together our reflections and insights and invite a collective call to action.

Please note that each online dialogue has its own registration link and interpretation will be available for both in French, Spanish and Portuguese. Plenary speakers will be announced soon!

We look forward to seeing you there!
