10 Things You Need to Know to Get Started with the Laudato Si’ Action Platform
Posted August 5, 2025
1. It’s for everyone.
Whether you’re an individual, parish, school, healthcare center, or religious community, the platform is open to all who want to take action for our common home. Just choose the sector that best represents you when you enroll.
2. You’ll have access to high-impact actions
After enrolling, you’ll have the opportunity to see high-impact actions that are based on research into the best way you can make progress towards integral ecology. The actions are tailored to your needs.
3. You don’t have to be perfect.
You’re not expected to do everything at once. Start small—choose one or two meaningful actions and build from there. The journey is about sincerity, not perfection.
4. You can develop your own plan
Two planning templates–one that is simple and one that is more complex–are available to help you chart your path.
5. You can track your progress with your dashboard.
You’ll get a personalized dashboard that allows you to mark completed actions, tracking your progress from year to year.
6. The Annual Certificate celebrates your commitment.
Institutions can receive the Annual Certificate after completing all steps in their dashboard—a free and optional recognition of their ecological efforts. It’s a way to say: “We’re walking this path with care and purpose.”
7. There are 8 simple steps for certification.
You only need to follow:
When joining: Enroll, Make a Public Pledge, Reflect, Review Suggested Actions
Each year: Submit your Laudato Si’ Plan, Consider Financial Support (if possible), Mark Actions Completed, Review Certificate Policy
8. Your plan is flexible—you can edit it anytime.
Ecological conversion is a living journey. You can revisit and adapt your plan throughout the year, responding to your community’s evolving needs.
9. Help is always available.
Need guidance? Join a webinar, explore tutorials, download a guide, or reach out at info@laudatosiactionplatform.org. You’re never alone on this journey.
10. Every effort counts.
Every step toward ecological conversion matters. You’re part of a global movement responding to the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor—with hope, action, and faith.
